Volunteer Hosts
Volunteer Hosts work in the dining room with our Dining Room
coordinator and the Cooks.
 They
help set-up the dining room for meals, ensuring beverages and
condiments are replenished during meals, and clean up after the meal
is served. Families ensure that our guests are treated with warmth,
good humour and hospitality. If this volunteer opportunity appeals

Job Opportunities
Sorrento Centre employs 30 people during the summer months. We
hire staff for children's & youth programming, maintenance and
grounds, kitchen and dining room work. We also have volunteer
positions available in these areas. Volunteering at the Centre is a
valuable way for people to gain experience in many areas, or for
experienced volunteers to share their gifts and gather in community.

Summer Volunteers
Volunteering at Sorrento Centre can be a challenging, growing
and joyous experience.
 Every
year, people of all ages join in offering the hospitality and
Christian witness for which the Centre is known. We have a great
deal of opportunities to volunteer in the kitchen, grounds,
housekeeping and maintenance areas.
Sharing
one's gifts and skills is a rich part of our heritage and
participating in community ministry is always rewarding. Together
our guests, volunteers and staff form a village and share a common

Partnerships - Building Community
Together
Sorrento Centre has always had partners in ministry. Together
with groups
 who follow similar values, we have reached out to create
leaders in our communities. International
Rotary, Routes for Learning, Woodcarvers, Parish churches, Scouts
Canada, the Quakers, the Pentecostal Assemblies of BC, the BC
Bluegrass Workshops and the Shuswap Accordion players are some of
the varied groups we have been in partnership with. Anglican
Dioceses and the National Church have joint-ventured many
educational programs with us. If you have an idea of partnering with
us, give us a call.

Special Savings and Discounts
We are always eager to encourage new families to share in the
"Sorrento Experience"! Our popular "5 for the price of 4" program
allows parishes to partner with us. For every four families or
individuals from a church parish attending one of our programs, a
fifth is eligible to receive a credit of up to $600. Call us for
