Ransomed, Healed, Restored, Forgiven
with Peter Elliott and Ellen Clark-King
In this retreat-oriented exploration of the theology of Rene Girard and James Alison, we will study interpretations of the death and resurrection of Jesus and the theology of atonement.
Through bible study and spiritual practices, this course will consider how theologies of crucifixion and resurrection affect both our personal spirituality and our priorities for mission and ministry for the church and our individual lives.
PETER ELLIOTT has served since 1994 as Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, British Columbia. His current interests include restorative justice.
ELLEN CLARK-KING is the author of two books on spirituality, Theology by Heart (Epworth, 2004) and The Path to Your Door (Continuum, 2011). Ellen is Archdeacon of Burrard and Priest Associate at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver, British Columbia.
