Healing our Children / Healing Ourselves:
Finding Faith Through Food
with Kate Hutchinson
The links between food and health, behaviour, mood, memory, and learning affect us all. This course is open to anyone who is inspired to explore how they can positively impact their own (or another family member’s) physical, mental, and emotional health through the healing power of food, drink, and other natural therapies.
Nutritionist Kate Hutchinson will help parents make informed choices around food and health for themselves and their children, and will address common childhood conditions, such as asthma, allergies, eczema, autism, ADD/ADHD, food intolerance, and digestive issues.
Having children is not a prerequisite for this course, as common adult conditions, such as depression, acid reflux, Candida, blood sugar issues, and hormonal challenges (and whatever else individual participants are interested in addressing), will be discussed in a supportive atmosphere with practical information and guidance for using nutrition to create positive change. A workbook, recipes, and other resources will be supplied. Food and drink will be served daily as part of our “studies”. Come ready to be nourished!.
KATE HUTCHINSON is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist with an active consultation practice in Vancouver, British Columbia, focusing on families who have children on the autism spectrum or with other behavioural/digestive challenges. She moved into the field of nutrition in response to profound changes that she witnessed first-hand in treating her own son’s autism through dietary approaches. She is also an instructor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver.
